THE ROLE
As a quantitative market research specialist, this is an opportunity to help manage a team to develop and lead strong client relationships in the FMCG space, grow key accounts and win new business by delivering excellence.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Research Skills
· Account management for at least one account/area of business/revenue up to £250k.
· Act as the day to day point of contact for client accounts.
· Assess costs, determine pricing and produce client ready proposals.
· Work with internal stakeholders to design and recommend appropriate methodologies and business solutions and to develop proposals and questionnaires that meet or exceed client’s research objectives and business needs.
· Maintain an overview of projects, monitoring project management milestones, job profitability, establishing priorities for the team and escalating issues with internal teams.
· Coach and supervise junior members of the team to develop research skills.
Business Skills
· Responsible for the commercial progress of accounts / projects in remit and the client relationship; assessing, planning and delivering appropriate strategic and tactical action.
· Supporting the inception and implementation of new & existing business development activity.
· Communicate key financial metrics and relevant business information to team.
· Coach junior staff to understand the financial issues surrounding projects and key accounts/revenue.
· Support recruitment and selection.
· Manage & recognize team and individual performance and development through appraisals, objective setting, PDP’s & L&D, encouraging a culture of personal responsibility and identifying key talent.

PERSON SPECIFICATION
· Proven track record in managing a team to deliver profitable research projects across a number of accounts/revenue streams.
· Experience of managing day to day (internal and external) client relationships across a number of accounts/revenue streams.
· Experience of line management and exposure to resourcing & people development.
· A proven pedigree of delivering high quality, commercially focused insight to clients.
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills are as a presenter, influencer and coach.
· Able to plan and deliver strategic and tactical action for accounts/revenue streams.

TNS-RI Consumer is a division of quantitative researchers concentrating on a mixture of global, UK, continuous and ad hoc work for clients in the dynamic and exciting consumer area.
We conduct brand health evaluation, advertising research, customer satisfaction, segmentation, innovation and motivational research on behalf of the leading global and local FMCG players in the consumer arena.
