Our success includes assisting the junior mining industry move development projects forward from grassroots exploration, to prefeasibility, feasibility, detailed engineering, procurement, construction management and ultimately, operations.

We are currently seeking a Manager of Project Controls for our client office in Saskatoon.

Manager of Project Controls

 

To ensure the effectiveness of Project Control Systems (people, processes, tools) for the project portfolio in the areas defined below.

 

·         Estimating

·         Cost Management

·         Planning/Scheduling

·         Change Management

·         Performance Monitoring

·         Project Status Reporting

·         Project Set-up

·         Project Close-out

·         Project reviews and lessons learned

 

Responsibilities

 

The Manager of Project Controls is responsible for the effectiveness of project controls throughout the project portfolio.

Ensures that projects are setup and managed in accordance with the company policies and procedures.

Ensures that Project Management tools are utilized effectively, including MIS, MS Project/P3, Earned Value, PMS (Portfolio Reporting).

Have a dotted line accountability to the client Manager of Project Controls and assist in progressing the client's Project Controls initiatives.

Manage the roll out of corporate initiatives for the client.

Identify best practices and initiate the upgrade processes to meet best practices.

Evaluate processes on an annual basis against company policies and procedures.

Conduct periodic reviews (quarterly) to determine if tools are being used effectively.
