Staff Manager, Layout (Vancouver)

 

Job Details

 

Wardrop Engineering is currently seeking a Staff Manager, Layout for the Vancouver office.  This role is responsible for the design of a major component or part of a project requiring a thorough knowledge of engineering and related fields. Incumbents at this level are capable of handling assignments which involve a variety of design procedures and techniques.  The Staff Manager is also responsible for co-ordinating and supervising design engineering assignments and related work performed by contractors or by subordinate professional and technical support staff or planning and completing highly technical designs.

 

Requirements

 

-Senior Designer with experience as a team leader

-Graduate of an accredited Technical College or University

-Eligible for A.Sc.T. or C.E.T. or higher

-15 years + experience in the engineering industry

-Practical experience in two or more of the following areas:

 

Schematics, Process Flow Sheets, Piping and Instrumentation Diagram

Process and/or Industrial plant design and layout

Process Piping & Isometrics

HVAC Design and Layout

Heating and Heat Recovery systems

Dust Control Systems

Mechanical Systems and Machinery

Pumping Systems

Materials Handling

Reagents Systems

 

Software

 

AutoCAD 2007+

2D AutoCAD Drafting

3D AutoCAD modeling

CADWorx

 

Other

 

Drawing Checking and Standards

Project Scheduling

Manpower Planning

Quality Programs

Construction Experience an Asset

Strong Interpersonal Skills
