Our success includes assisting the junior mining industry move development projects forward from grassroots exploration, to prefeasibility, feasibility, detailed engineering, procurement, construction management and ultimately, operations.

 

Job Details

 

We are currently looking for a senior Construction Manager.

 

Responsibilities

-       Provide Construction Management services while working from either the mining/construction sites and/or Wardrop office location;

-       Manage construction to ensure the project is built to design, scope, schedule, cost, safety, environmental and quality specifications;

-       Ensure all project construction activities achieve the required performance in HS&E and comply with all relevant Government Legislation and Regulations;

-       Lead a team of staff and contractors, supporting them in the delivery of individual and team objectives;

-       Monitor and direct contractors and consultant personnel;

-       Provide input to the operational team, and manage as required to ensure operability of proposed facilities;

-       Develop, implement and maintain an appropriate system of business controls for the project In co-ordination with the Project Engineering team;

-       Travel to international and domestic mine sites is required;

-       Plan daily, weekly, and monthly to meet project schedules;

 

Requirements

-       Appropriate Undergraduate or Graduate Degree in Mining, Metallurgy, Mechanical, Electrical, Civil or Chemical Engineering with a minimum of 10 years experience;

-       Other professional qualifications will be considered coupled with relevant experience;

-       Construction supervision experience, in a Superintendent or Construction Manager role;

-       Exceptional organizational, communication and interpersonal skills;

-       Ability to work independently and handle multiple priorities in a fast paced, team-based environment;

-       Experience in organizational development, contract management, engineering development and/or EPCM management;

-       Demonstrated ability to build and lead a diverse team to deliver on budget, schedule and quality targets;

-       Experience in the mining and mineral processing industry is an asset;

-       Must have experience with MS Project, Primavera and Excel;

-       Valid Passport (required for travel);

-       First Aid, CPR, and Confined Space training an asset.
