Civil Engineer, Intermediate/Senior (Saskatoon or Vancouver) Mining Division, Wardrop Engineering, A Tetra Tech Company

Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Design experience in geotechnical investigations, earthwork, slope stability analysis, foundation design, road design, development of technical specifications, tendering, and construction management for small and large scale civil projects
- Assists the discipline team in the establishing objectives and priorities both in the short and long term.
- Communicates and distributes project information to the discipline lead
- Ensures their technical teams are carrying out projects in accordance within the policies of Wardrop to meet our quality standards, the needs of the client and applicable laws.
- Assist in the relationship development with potential clients
- Manage projects according to client-approved scopes of work, and deliver high quality reports on time and within budget
Qualifications
- University Degree in Civil Engineering or recognized equivalent; - Must have experience with Civil3D - Minimum 5-10+ years of experience working within a Consulting Engineering Environment; - Must be eligible to register as a professional engineer in the Province of Saskatchewan or British Columbia - Strong Leadership and analytical skills / strong attention to detail; - Has demonstrated ability in:
o Strong knowledge in civil analysis and design of roadways, site grading/drainage, tailings, geo-tech reports and ponds. o Estimating quantities and cost of materials, equipment, or labor to determine project feasibility; o Interpreting soil investigation and material mill test reports to determine the adequacy and strength of foundations, concrete, asphalt, or steel; o Computing load and grade requirements, water flow rates, and material stress factors to determine design specifications; o Direct or participate in surveying to lay out installations and establish reference points, grades, and elevations to guide construction; o Inspecting project sites to ensure conformance to design specifications;
