Job Details

We are currently looking for Senior Level Estimators for our Vancouver and other strategic project offices.

Responsibilities 
-  Responsible for all aspect of the estimate and estimate development process
-  Review drawings, specifications, bid requests, attend pre-bid meetings, visit sites.
-  Prepare Estimate Plan and Basis of Estimate
-  In conjunction with the project controls team develop coding structure for the estimate.
-  Prepare and review various types of estimates from inception to completion.
-  Establish unit costs, labour rates, productivity factors and location impacts;
-  Compile quantities from various disciplines.
-  Evaluate and recommend allowances for indirects, design unknowns, escalation and contingency.
-  Present estimates and conduct review meetings with the client.
-  Participate and coordinate company risk and opportunity evaluation with client.
-  Compile and maintain data base of unit rates
-  Provide leadership and mentoring to intermediate and junior members of the estimating team

Requirements
- A minimum of 10 years experience in estimating in a multi-discipline heavy industrial environment;
- Field experience would be an advantage;
- Mining and/or consulting experience would be an asset.
