Job Details

 

We are currently looking for a HR Generalist to be based out of our Saskatoon, Saskatchewan office to work within our Mining Division and support our partnership with Cameco Corporation.  This role will be based out of our downtown Saskatoon office location, but the successful candidate will also be required to work out of the Cameco offices in Saskatoon at least two or three days a week as needed.

 

Responsibilities

 

As a member of our Divisional HR team, you will be responsible for shared HR services across the Division. The day-to-day HR activities will be heavily weighted around recruitment, retention, and employee relations; including those tied to supporting initiatives and activities of our alliance with Cameco Corporation. In this role you will provide senior level HR advice and support to our staff, managers and strategic alliance partners in delivering HR services on major projects between our two companies.

 

In this role, you will communicate with managers and staff in the Saskatoon office and work with the other HR Generalists across the Division in the execution of HR and recruitment related matters. You will assist and be responsible for the orientation and on boarding of new staff in the region, and will provide support to staff managers on employee relations and HR projects.

 

Requirements

 

The ideal candidate has seven (7+) or more years of experience in human resources, with preference given to someone with experience working in an engineering consulting or professional services firm, or a mining environment.

 

Ideally, you are working towards completion or have completed your Human Resources Certificate or related degree. Progress towards completion of a Canadian Human Resources Professional (CHRP) designation is considered an asset.
