Position Overview
As a member of the A123 Systems IT team, the Oracle Applications Developer will work with the Business Application analysts supporting their needs for application development, extensions and reports. The ideal candidate will have a combination of technology skills and good communication skills. This position requires very strong Oracle E-Business Suite development experience.
Primary responsibilities
- Develop reports and interfaces for Oracle ERP system
- Work closely with business users to design, implement and test application extensions, conversions, interfaces and reports in the Oracle E-Business Suite environment.
- Guide junior members of the team with SDLC best practices, code review, adherence to Oracle’s coding standards, design and develop low maintenance code/program units.
- Ability Proficient with SQL Plus, PL/SQL, Oracle Forms 10g, Oracle Reports 6i, Oracle Workflow, SQL Loader, BI Publisher, OA Frameworks and shell scripting to support multiple Oracle EBS (GL, AR, AP, FA, PO, OM, IB, OKS, CE, INV modules)
Specific Skills/Abilities
- The successful candidate will have a broad Computer Science background.
- Experience working with Oracle databases, application servers and basic unix skills are preferred.
- The candidate will also possess a persuasive, professional communication style, capable of communicating with Business users as well as technical users.
- The following skills are desired: Java / J2EE / Javascript, Oracle Database (creation of tables, triggers and Stored Procedures), Sql Loader and Sql Plus, Oracle Forms Development, Oracle Forms Personalization, Oracle PL/SQL, TOAD, SQLDeveloper, Oracle Application Express (APEX),Deploying Applications on Oracle Application Server / Weblogic Server, XML and SOA / Web Services, Apache web server, Web Development, Oracle Business Intelligence Enterprise Edition,Oracle Discoverer, Oracle BI Publisher, Oracle Workflow Builder
- Strong Analytical and Problem Solving Skills
Education/Experience
- 5+ Years Oracle EBS Development
- Knowledge or Manufacturing, Finance, Human Resources and CRM application schemas and objects
- Bachelor's Degree in MIS, Computer Science or equivalent experience.
