John Sisk & Son Ltd & Roadbridge Civil Engineering & Building Contractors, through their partnership, SRB Polska are seeking experienced Civil Engineering Contracts / Site Managers as a result of their expansion into Poland.

Title                         Site Manager (Motorways & Expressways)

Reports to             Project Manager

Qualifications:      Masters or Degree qualification in Construction or Engineering related field or strong trades background.

Experience:           More than 5-Years civil site management experience.  Motorway experience would be an advantage.

Main Focus:          The contracts manager, often referred to as a site manager, is the person in charge of a building contract and, as such, must be aware and in controf all aspects of site operations, including the planning of site progress. It is the manager/agent who has responsibility for both the profitability of operations and adherence to the agreed construction and cost plans.  Responsible for compliance with relevant Polish legal requirements pertaining to construction.

Key Tasks:

• Responsible for the site log book
• Leading regular site meetings with professionals, including quantity surveyors, building services engineers, foremen, subcontractors, and the client who has commissioned the project,
• Maintaining strict quality control procedures - this necessitates regular testing of materials, visual inspections of work, and frequent tours of the site;
• Conducting regular site safety checks;
• Ensuring the project runs to schedule and to budget, and finding solutions to problems

General Requirements Include:

• Fluent Polish and English is essential
• Strong leadership, communication and organisational skills
• Polish licences together with road building experience would be an advantage.
• Technical and written competence in Polish and English is an advantage.
