Overview

Pramerica is seeking an experienced Informatica professional to support establishing an Informatica Centre of Excellence. The selected candidate will be leading different aspects of a CoE team, which is responsible for designing, developing, implementing and maintaining solutions to meet a wide range of business requirements using various Informatica tools. This is an exciting opportunity which will involve working closely with a wide range of professionals across the organization to implement the overall data strategy.

Job responsibilities:

  • As a member of Informatica CoE, provide expertise in design and development, Champion Informatica tools and advise on best practices and standards
  • Lead the development team to build ETL workflows, sessions and source-to-target mappings
  • Design and implement the overall Data integration framework for key data warehouse components
  • Interact with business partners in the US
  • Set standards and methodology for ETL development, error handling, naming and auditing
  • Lead Informatica Upgrades and Data migration projects
  • Mentor team members on Informatica’ s new tools and technology
  • Lead Informatica Proof of Concept’s (PoC’s), create and publish case studies
  • Contribute to technical architectural planning, data modeling, process flow documentation

Position requirement and Education:

Essential Skills

  • Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent required.
  • 8-10 years of ETL software development experience 
  • In-depth knowledge of all Informatica transformations, mapplets, variables, workflow creation, incremental logic and error management.
  • Experience in Informatica Velocity: Informatica Best Practices & Methodology
  • Experience with optimization or performance tuning of ETL Jobs with and without PDO, SQL, PL/SQL.
  • Experience in developing Informatica ETL mappings to load data from disparate source systems into relational and non-relational targets including mainframe data sets
  • Experience in UNIX/Linux platforms.
  • Proactively monitor jobs with good debugging skills.
  • Experience in Informatica Upgrades from Infa 8.x,9.x or Infa 10.x
  • Experience in Data migration projects with respect to planning and execution.
  • Must have hands-on experience in the following Informatica Products :
    Informatica PowerCenter, Data Quality, Data Explorer, B2BDT (a.k.a. Data Processor), Metadata Manager (MM) & Business Glossary(BG). PowerExchange plugins (PWX), Data Validation Option(DVO), Pushdown Optimization(PDO), Partitioning and Disaster Recovery(DR)
  • Hands-on experience in the following Informatica Platform will be an advantage, Informatica Cloud integration, Data Replication(IDR), Bigdata Management (BDM), B2B Data Exchange, Different Schedulers, Informatica Architecture Design, Administration, High Availability & GRID implementation. Install & configure Informatica tools and services on Premise and Amazon EC2 & RDS and AWS Data Migration Service(DMS).
  • Experience with Agile methodologies and tools

  • Experience with Continuous Integration tools like Jenkins, and version control tools like SVN/bitbucket/git are important.
  • Exposure to SQL DB, No SQL DB, Bigdata, Pentaho, Streaming/Unstructured data an advantage.
  • The candidate must have excellent verbal and written communication skills, and be able to work independently and in a team environment.
  • Candidate must have the ability to manage multiple project tasks. simultaneously while managing all maintenance and support tasks.
  • Experience with financial services applications preferred.
  • Proven ability to turn complex design challenges into elegant solutions and understand the need to solve both business and user problems whilst aligning with the overall strategic vision.

This position may require travel to the US from time to time.
