1. OVERALL PURPOSE OF POST:

Pramerica is seeking an experienced Process Management Specialist to join the Process Engineering Professional Service which involves business process transformation, implementing operational efficiencies and looking towards a leaner set of processes that are consistent with business values, ensuring that the set of processes effectively mitigate the risks associated with the process.

This role further involves analyzing behavioral practices on business processes areas within the organization to ensure that these business processes are continually improving. The key rewarding skills will be:

  • Storytelling skills to bring the consumer and business opportunity to life and inspire the organization to see the market possibilities
  • Use your leadership skills to cultivate relationships across all staff levels and Prudential business units / corporate centers to implement operational excellence
  • Use your intrapreneurial spirit and passion to identify and take on challenging opportunities
  • Conceptual & creative thinker with background in a design thinking approach to innovation

Main hours will be Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm.

Travel to the US will be required.

2. SUMMARY OF DUTIES:

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Lead the development and implementation of business process and controls
  • Provide Program Management support where required on initiatives / projects
  • Work closely with teams to drive operational excellence and enhance program performance against defined success measures
  • Understand Design Model thinking and possess the ability to coach teams to adopt and deliver in design sprints
  • Exceptional writing skills, including strategy presentations and guiding the development of simple, compelling, and succinct new product concepts
  • Broad working knowledge of innovation best practices across Financial Services & other industries
  • High level of professional maturity
  • Strong communication skills with business, creative, and technical audiences, the ability to take complex ideas and articulate them clearly & simply
  • Ability to ask clarifying questions and recommend solutions
  • Creative thinker adept at problem solving and able to cultivate those qualities in others
  • Comfortable with ambiguity and iteration; equally comfortable sensing when to converge to solutions
  • Access and analyze processes, data points, and controls to determine sub-optimal performance, communicate findings clearly and effectively and make recommendations for improvement
  • Build and maintain effective engagement with key functional stakeholders to identify and drive progress on potential opportunities for process and systems improvement
  • Brainstorm and design of processes across multiple groups

3. KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS REQUIREMENTS Background Requirements (Education/qualifications/previous experience, etc.)

Qualifications:

  • Strong knowledge in business processes assessment, review, modelling and improvement
  • Knowledge of some quality standards / framework – Lean, Agile, Six Sigma, ITIL, Design Thinking, COBIT etc.
  • Strong business acumen, analytical, logical and creative thinkers who are effective at problem solving, detail oriented and understand the big picture.
  • Experience in Financial Services Industry
  • Strong skills in time management with the ability to manage complex work plan and conflicting priorities
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced constantly evolving workplace
  • High level of confidence both in terms of process and analysis skill
  • Expertise with process mapping
  • Needs to be a very proactive individual that can work with minimal supervision
  • Self-starter mindset and an interest in developing their career
  • Demonstrate the ability to perform well and remain organized under tight deadlines
  • Must be able to work in a collaborative manner to achieve results and operate effectively as a member of team
