Overview

We are looking for an Associate, Quality Assurance. The candidate will be a team player with a technical and business mindset. The candidate should be able to accurately determine whether something passes or fails according to specifications, have strong attention to detail, and the ability to adapt to updated instructions. The candidate should be professional, work autonomously and have excellent communication skills.


Typical responsibilities include:

  • Providing estimates for software work products
  • Plan test strategy for one or more areas of a product
  • Responsible for managing the development of test data and the test environments for the System Test phase.
  • Understands customer/system requirements
  • Gives feedback on documents undergoing review
  • Build a close working relationship with all Business partners
  • Ensure use of defined processes and standards on all projects.
  • Ensure all projects delivered follow all standards and processes in place.
  • Produce metrics to ensure visibility on all project work
  • Ability to work on own initiative, without direct supervision from management
  • Ability to work well with business partners and other project team members

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, a related field or equivalent work experience required
  • Minimum of 1-3 years of Quality Assurance/Quality Engineering or related technical experience
  • Proven experience on a technology project or initiative in a college or business environment
  • Excellent people, interpersonal, speaking, and writing skills are a must
  • Self-starter with ability to handle multiple priorities
  • Able to work effectively as part of a geographically dispersed team
  • Ability to work within a team or independently
  • Takes ownership of tasks and sees them though to conclusion escalating where appropriate
  • Demonstrates an analytical mindset with a detail oriented focus
  • Willingness to take initiative and intelligent risks

Technical Requirements:

  • To have proven ability in one or more automation tools and/or development platforms and languages: -  SQL, Autosys, Jenkins, Hadoop, Atlassian Suite (including Jira, Confluence, Adaptavist, Bitbucket), SonarQube, Jmeter, SoapUI/Pro NG, Selenium Webdriver with Java, Pentaho and/or Informatica.
  • Awareness in of UNIX shell scripting, big data testing, ETL/Data Orchestration testing, REST API automation and Test Data Management
  • Experience in implementing and coding automated test solutions throughout the SDLC using tools such as Selenium and UFT
  • Ability to analyze requirements and answer complex customer queries
  • Ability to provide technical training and mentoring to other members of staff
  • Experience in Agile teams
  • Proficient in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
