Pramerica is currently recruiting an ETL Developer to join their new Business Group – Chief Investment Office (CIO).

The selected candidate will be responsible for all phases of application programming and processes for ETL and Business Intelligence.

They will have ownership for driving logical Data Warehouse and Business Intelligence system solutions which trace back to the Business Requirements.

Key to this role are the skills, abilities and techniques required to collaborate closely with the Business Partners and Systems team to understand business requirements and identify the best system solutions including the exploration of viable options and alternatives for delivering reports, dashboards and ad-hoc items.

Typical responsibilities & skills include:

  • Must have the ability to model/federate data models across multiple data sources
  • Proven ability to define a grammar or language on how data translation/exchange could happen
  • Hands on experience with SQL Server SSIS, Big Data,SSAS, MS Scheduler, Streaming/Unstructured data
  • Experience with data modeling and profiling tools, metadata management tools
  • Database design and optimization
  • Experience building master data
  • Experience building enterprise data solutions
  • Experience with Business Intelligence tools (e.g. Tableau)
  • Reporting experience with Power BI, SSRS, Business Objects,  Tableau is required.
  • Database development (MS SQL)
  • Works closely with business partners, IT management and staff to identify ETL and BI requirements and information data needs.
  • Provides technical consulting and leadership in identifying and implementing new uses of information technologies which assist the functional business units in meeting their strategic ETL and BI objectives.
  • Regarded as an expert in their field.
  • May lead projects with notable risk and complexity.
  • Ensures ETL & BI Tool best practices are fully adhered to.
  • Provides leadership to managers and or professional staff.
  • Is accountable for the performance and results of a team or multiple related teams.

Position Requirements and Education:

  • The ideal candidate should be educated to degree level and have at least 5 years ETL and BI development experience.
     
  • The candidate must have a solid background working in a formalized SDLC process. Requirements analysis, effort estimates, component development, unit testing, defect resolution, and production support will be part of the job responsibilities.
     
  • Proactive individual with strong technical ability and initiative that can meet customer needs while at the same time thinking ahead to introduce creative ideas aimed at increased efficiency and process improvements.
     
  • Self-motivated and able to handle multiple tasks. Proven ability to be a self starter, and the ability to demonstrate initiative, team skills, and hard work.
     
  • Excellent communications & analytical skills, both oral and written. The candidate must be able to communicate with individuals of varying technical expertise to interact with other developers, Architects, System testers & Business Analysts, working in disparate geographic locations & as such will need to possess strong written and verbal communication skills.
     
  • Ability to be a team player.  The candidate will be working in a highly motivated team atmosphere and will therefore need to be willing to learn from others and be willing to share knowledge.


This position may require travel to the US from time to time.
