Internship Overview :

Each summer, Pramerica offers a limited number of paid Internships. This year’s Interns will have the opportunity to work across the Data Analytics, Data Science and Data Engineering functions in Pramerica.  The program stretches over a 12-week period and takes place at Pramerica’s headquarters in Letterkenny Co. Donegal.

As a Data Analytics Intern you'll be tasked with combining your creativity and analytical skills to solve some of the most complex problems in the US insurance, retirement and investment market.  This role provides a unique opportunity to explore a wide range of Analytical techniques within a leading edge environment.

 The summer internship follows a structured program, which includes training courses, mentoring and opportunities to work with corporate professionals on real projects. You will have ample opportunities to learn and apply new skills in a modern corporate environment.  The program will conclude  with a training project which will allow you to showcase and present the skills you have learned to senior leadership.

You will be mentored by an experienced practitioner who will help you gain a strong career foundation through daily training and coaching.
By the end of your internship you will have a thorough understanding of how analytical techniques are used to solve business problems.
You will be accountable for your work from start to finish and present your final results to Pramerica Senior Management.
The internships will be 12 weeks in duration beginning in early June.

This will be a paid Internship. Successful applicants will be responsible for arranging and covering the cost of travel and  accommodation etc. for the duration of the internship in Letterkenny Co. Donegal, Ireland.

Essential Criteria:

  • Candidates should be in 3rd or 4th year of, or, a graduate of, a Degree, Masters or PhD program in a quantitative degree and be on track to obtain at least a 2:1 or equivalent
  • Preferably grade A in Leaving Certificate Higher Level Mathematics or A-level Mathematics (or equivalent qualification – e.g. Statistics, Data Engineering
  • Excellent computer skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
