This is a permanent developmental role  for someone who wishes to pursue a career in HR.

As a member of the HR & Organisational Development team, you will be involved in a broad range of HR activities.  This includes the provision of a confidential and discrete service around the administration of the HR Operational and OD workload along with a variety of other HR tasks.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:               

  • To provide a confidential and discrete administrative and research support to the Head of HR & OD, HR Operations & OD Functions;
  • Effective use and maintenance of HR Information Systems (CORE);
  • To assist in the update of HR policies, processes and files on an ongoing basis;
  • To liaise with the payroll team as required;
  • To action visa and change requests in a timely manner;
  • To manage HR documentation such as contracts, staff requests and relevant forms;
  • To co-ordinate and continuously develop and implement an effective absence management programme for staff;
  • To assist in the co-ordination of all aspects of HR Operational activity including the continuous delivery of informative and actionable reporting tools;  
  • To maintain and update the HR communications channels including online platforms;
  • To maintain and keep up to date all filing requirements;
  • To support the Annual PMDR Process and electronic maintenance of same;
  • To participate in recruitment panels at appropriate level and provide feedback as required to candidates and staff;
  • To assist with other general HR matters as required, for example, recruitment, administration of leave, staff benefit schemes, and maintenance of databases and systems;
  • To ensure dignity, respect and equality are applied within and outside the Organisation and that a work life balance is supported as much as possible in the workplace;
  • To demonstrate flexibility in undertaking additional tasks that can arise , giving high quality customer service at all times;
  • To ensure that continuous learning and development is undertaken through informal and formal learning and participation in the Performance Management and Development Review Process.

Additional Requirements  

  • A Diploma level qualification (or progress towards), in a HR or related discipline is desirable, together with an interest in working towards a Degree qualification;
  • CIPD membership or eligibility for same will be an advantage;
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, coupled with the ability to maintain confidentiality and discretion at all times;
  • In-depth knowledge of computer packages, proficiency and experience in the use of Word, Excel and PowerPoint are essential, together with the ability to use social media platforms;
  • Ability to work well under pressure, with attention to detail, and ability to produce accurate work against challenging deadlines;
  • A full driving licence is desirable;
  • Aspects of this role will require working outside of normal office hours and possible travel to our regional offices.

Salary : €20,451 per annum
