We currently have a vacancy for a Senior Manager - Finance Transformation on a specified purpose contract for the duration of 30 months in the Finance Division. This role is aligned with the Bank Professional 1 grade and the BP1 salary scale, New entrants will commence on Point 1 of the relevant salary scale; in this case the starting salary will be€104,553.00. Please click here for further information on our salary scales.

The purpose of the role is to drive forward strategic change and transformation agenda within FD and across the Bank, with a particular focus on leading the finance stream of the SAP ERP implementation programme. Ensure the finance team is equipped, engaged and ready to operate the new cloud-based ERP platform. Provide expert guidance on finance process design, system configuration, data migration, testing and go-live. Lead a systems and change agenda across the Division focusing on the review of processes and procedures to ensure that all are efficient and fit for purpose.

Responsibilities:
  • Own the finance stream roadmap and delivery plan for the SAP ERP implementation; including ensuring alignment with overall ERP programme milestones and the Bank's Finance Strategy. Conduct gap analysis to identify where Bank requirements align with SAP ERP functionality.
  • Lead the design of SAP finance processes (general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, cash management, fixed assets, intercompany, reporting) using best in class ERP processes.
  • Champion change management within the finance team; communicate vision, benefits and timelines clearly and regularly.
  • Identify and mitigate finance-specific risks (e.g. month-end close, reconciliations, controls, pensions integration, European system interfaces, cloud security and resilience). Ensure embedded controls, compliance and audit requirements are built into process design.
  • Provide leadership and development of the team through effective direction, delegation, performance management and coaching to ensure all staff members can achieve the required performance standards and meet their own job enrichment/development objectives.
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills to develop productive and collaborative relationships across the Central Bank and with external parties.
Requirements:
  • Extensive SAP ERP System Implementation experience.
  • A professional Accounting qualification.
  • Membership of the professional body, Chartered Accountants Ireland (CAI), the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA), or the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA), is an indispensable condition of the tenure of the employment.
  • Significant experience in a finance leadership role with a particular focus on transformation and delivering SAP implementation, including strong experience of managing a team of professionals.
  • Deep understanding/ experience of the relevant sector and the practical operations within the area and industry.
  • Strong analytical, problem solving, decision making, planning and organisational skills.
  • Proven ability to critically assess complex/ once off issues and problems with the ability to distil significant volumes of information, identifying solutions for root causes of issues.
  • Strong knowledge of the relevant regulatory and legal frameworks.
  • A proven track record in delivering results, services, change and cost reductions in a complex environment.
  • Strong project management skills and proven ability to manage and balance a diverse portfolio of activity.

The Central Bank pension scheme mirrors the rules of the civil service pension scheme.
