WOMEN’S KIT SUPERVISOR

The Purpose: 
To be responsible for overseeing the management and delivery of all kit and equipment needs for the Women’s Team, working closely with and reporting to the Senior Kit Manager covering the First Team, Academy, and Women’s Team.

The Role: 
  • Leading on the match day operations. 
  • Driving the kit van to and from home and away fixtures which, on occasion, will include staying overnight with the team.
  • Whilst focusing on the Womens kit operations, the individual will also support all our teams across men’s and Academy  football when required.  
  • Accompanying the team on tour as and when required. This may involve short periods of overseas travel. 
  • Daily provision and preparation of kit and equipment for training, matches, camps and tours. 
  • Dressing room pre-match set up and post-match clear down to standards befitting Manchester United’s values.  
  • Printing on match kit and training wear.
  • Supporting the busy pre-season arrival and preparation of kit so that it is available in a timely fashion as required by coaches and playing staff.
  • Support the Senior Kit Manager – Women's Team , First Team, Academy and other kit leads with management of kit stock and ordering. 
  • Support the Kit and Logistics Operations Lead on staff rota organisation to ensure operational effectiveness and flexibility and responsiveness. 
  • Ensure a clean and tidy working environment within the operating areas. 
  • Be able to work with and comply with Manchester United’s internal administration processes and policies, such as Purchase Order [PO] creation. 
  • Support with laundry operations.

The Person: 
  • Have experience of operating and leading in an elite sports environment, ideally football kit management. 
  • Have experience of working with young people.
  • Possess a strong work ethic
  • Be a dependable and reliable individual.
  • Be trustworthy and respect confidentiality in all matters.
  • Be an enthusiastic team player, happy to positively interact with persons at all levels within the club..
  • Demonstrate Manchester United values at all times.
  • Demonstrate a positive attitude, with teamwork being a strong skillset to cooperate with fellow kit leads across the club.
  • Be extremely flexible as the role entails unsocial hours and weekend working.
  • The role involves daily lifting, carrying, and transporting of kit and equipment. The individual must be comfortable working with the physical demands of the role.
  • Have a clean driving license and experience of driving a transit size vehicle.
  • Already hold or be able to acquire a DBS certificate.
