Female Education Officer
Location: Manchester

The Role:
This role is positioned within the Inclusion team and will use the profile of Manchester United Football Club to engage and inspire Women and Girls to make a lasting difference by: - Providing opportunities for Women and Girls to engage in football.
- Creating future female leaders.
- Providing a platform to raise awareness and challenge attitudes towards women and girls.
Specifically, the Female Development Coordinator role aims to: - Deliver Premier League Primary Stars programmes through the Primary Reds team.
- Deliver workshops, programmes, competitions, football festivals and events for girls across the Foundation.
- Support and enhance the current MU Foundation education offer
Key outcomes:
- Female participation is representative across Foundation programmes.
- Creating the next generation of female leaders in football and beyond.
- Changing attitudes and perceptions towards Women in football and society.
Generic - Ensuring everything is done safely, fairly, effectively, and efficiently (strong governance).
- Planning and delivering is to the best of standards (high quality).
- Capture the success and impact of your work (monitoring and evaluation).
- Responsibility to safeguard the welfare of children and adults at risk.
Specific - Create a fun and safe Primary Reds environment that is inspiring, dynamic, challenging and educational and aligned with the Primary Reds philosophy.
- Complete risk assessments and emergency action plans to an agreed schedule to always ensure a safe and healthy working environment in accordance with Manchester United Foundation and Manchester United Football Club’s policies. Ensuring these are updated annually and changes communicated to staff.
- Deliver girls specific activations across primary and secondary programmes.
- Develop and manage effective working relationships with key stakeholders including the Premier League, The FA, South Manchester Girls League and other recognised partners that can support the role in achieving its outcomes.
- Keep up to date with National (FA) legislation, policy, and statistics.
- Uphold and promote the Foundation’s Safeguarding policy working in conjunction with Manchester United FC’s safeguarding team.
- Ensure the timely collection of data, information and the formation of evidence demonstrating good practice/case studies for the purposes of supporting communication strategies and for monitoring and evaluation. This will be in line with company, as well as national data protection legislation, guidelines and policies including GDPR.

Knowledge - Women and Girls Development
- Premier League Programmes
Experience - Minimum of three years practical experience of working within girl’s football.
- Inspiring and developing staff.
- Raising the profile of a programme and becoming a thought leader.
Skills - Organisational and communication skills (written, verbal and listening).
- Strong project management.
- Personal skills to build rapport and inspire young girls
- Ability to capture the success and report on the impact of your work.
Qualifications - A full UK driving licence with access to own car for business use.
- UEFA C Licence and relevant support qualifications
- Educated to degree, HND level or A level equivalent (Desirable)
