The Pricing & Portfolio Management team have a number of full time permanent vacancies for the role of Actuarial Analyst based in Dublin on a hybrid basis.
The successful candidate will s
upport the development of actuarial modelling and reporting and provide actuarial support to a range of business areas with initial focus on pricing and product development activities

Role purpose:
Provide pricing support for our range of products
Support the financial and modelling inputs required for the development of new products and services and also to support overall business strategy
Analysis of historical business performance to identify key drivers of underlying trends
Modelling future business performance projections and target-setting
Carry out reserving tasks and support the development of segment and product profitability models
Provide general actuarial support to other areas of the business
Work closely with wider business functions
Key Criteria
Education and Technical experience
Hold a relevant primary degree in an Actuarial related field
2-3 years experience working in an actuarial role
Advanced Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills
Have clearly demonstrated keen analytical skills and have experience in relevant data analysis packages
Have well-developed problem solving skills
Have a good business sense including excellent and proven financial skills
Accuracy & attention to detail is critical as this information is used to inform business decisions and influence strategy
SQL & Tableau experience would be advantageous
Interpersonal skills
Demonstrated capability to work under pressure either independently or within a team.
Have demonstrable excellent oral and written communication & presentation skills
Highly motivated and results focussed.
Have a demonstrable eagerness to learn and ability to see a project through to fruition
Strong team player abilities and experience
Demonstrated alignment to the Vhi values
