Meet the team:
The RTÉ Audience Insight team have been transforming how RTÉ engages with its audience by delivering more of the content they love.  We work in a creative environment analysing consumption patterns and interactions with the range of RTÉ’s services and genres such as TV, Radio, RTÉ Player, RTÉ.ie, News and Entertainment.

It is your opportunity to join the team and make a real impact on our services. While collaborating with teams across the organization, you will use data and research to drive engagement with RTÉ’s product suite.  

Reporting to the Insights & Data Manager, the Audience Insight Analyst will focus on the analysis of digital analytics data in conjunction with market research projects, other media data and a range of industry data sources. Data will be brought to life through standard office packages and leading visualization tools. The role will also support users across RTÉ access and interpret the data they require directly.

About the role:   
  • Analysis across the RTÉ’s online video, text and audio services, including RTÉ.ie, RTÉ Player, RTÉ Radio Player and third-party video and audio services 
  • Combining online data with other media consumption to build a complete view of RTÉ’s audiences 
  • Formal and informal presentation of behavioural data using PowerPoint and visualization tools for ongoing reporting and ad-hoc analysis requirements 
  • Building and maintaining a range of dashboards for self-service access to data 
  • Analysis of a variety of market intelligence and research resources 
  • Advising key stakeholders with best practice in the use of digital analysis tools 
About you:
  • A third level qualification  
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills 
  • Confident decision making and the ability to work under pressure 
  • Strong proficiency in office software, especially PowerPoint and Excel 
  • Competency and experience in the analysis of large, rich datasets 
  • An understanding of the Irish media environment 
  • A flexible approach, with an openness to supporting a variety of ongoing insight needs
Nice to have:
  • Experience in the specialist area of multi-media digital analytics, including the use of leading web and video/ audio analytics tools (e.g. Piano Analytics, Google or Adobe Analytics) 
  • Experience of visualization tools, including PowerBI 
  • Media sector experience 
  • Experience of managing market research projects and designing surveys

This appointment will be made at the Administration Grade 1 scale and is being offered on an ongoing contract basis. The salary scale for this grade is from €42,722 to €57,860 gross per annum.
