Meet the team
The Finance People Payments team operates within our Central Finance department. We are responsible for the payment of 1,800 employees along with contractors/contributors who provide services to RTÉ.
We are looking for an experienced People Payments administrator.
Reporting to the Payroll Manager, you will be responsible for processing contractor payments (Fees Payroll) which operates on a lunar cycle as well as employee expenses which are processed weekly.
About the role:
Execution of end-to-end Fees Payroll process, ensuring transactions are processed in an accurate and timely manner, including:
Reconciliation of approved fees from HR system
Preparation of interface file for payroll provider
Comprehensive review and validation of payroll provider reports (exceptions, payments, tax deductions, SEPA file)
Revenue return file & submission
Issuing payslips
Reporting for Payroll Manager / related parties
Arranging Bank Payments (domestic & foreign)
Monthly balance sheet reconciliations
Employee expenses processing, reporting and assisting with Helpdesk queries
Ensure tax compliance (Ireland / UK) & provision of requests for social welfare
Investigate and resolve all employee / divisional queries in a timely manner
Payroll timesheet processing
Benefit in Kind Processing
Ad-hoc
Provide fee input training to divisions on finance system
Requests as delegated by Payroll Manager
About you:
Ideally have 4 years working with payroll and other Finance systems
Strong work ethic and ability to work on own initiative
Ability to work well under pressure, problem solve and meet tight deadlines
Exceptional attention to detail and process
Strong Microsoft Excel skills
Excellent communication, organisational, and follow through skills
A collaborative team player
Nice to have:
IPASS Qualification or equivalent
Experience with other Microsoft applications such as Outlook and Sharepoint
Experience of working with 3rd party suppliers

This appointment will be made at Administrative Grade 2 and is being offered on fulltime fixed term one year contract. The salary scale for this grade is from €36,472 to €50,899 gross per annum.
