PUROSE OF THE ROLE

The Relationship Manager, Platinum Banking recruits and maintains a portfolio of up to 250 mass affluent clients, including domestic, international and corporate clients (less complex nature). The incumbent delivers a high level of service and personal attention to clients, developing sales opportunities and providing personalized financial solutions. The incumbent prepares and submits personal credit applications to CRMD for sanctioning purposes and ensures all security documentation, material contracts and conditions precedent are in place, or the requisite approval is obtained.

OTHER GENERAL ACCOUNTABLILITES
  • Mas affluent clients, proactively contacting via letter and /or phone, undertaking in-depth client meetings and acting on any referrals from clients’ / other sources.
  • Sales opportunities based on clients’ needs, determining the products, including lending products and selling on a proactive and reactive basis, and offers investment advice.
  • Agreed level of revenue for assigned portfolio, with increased business development activities where necessary.
  • Clients including agreed service standards; negotiated pricing; relationship team contact points (including introductions to new personnel) and new product changes.
  • Compliance with internal Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and actively follows up all breaches.
  • To risk service standards on legislation relating to “Know Your Client”, money laundering and other compliance responsibilities / issues.
  • To ensure compliance with AML / ATF standards and new business is compliant with the Bank’s requirements and standards.

KNOWLEGE, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
  • Bachelor’s degree in Banking, Accounting or Finance would be an asset.
  • At ease with the concept of personal affluence and mass affluent clients.
  • Experience of relationship management and / or consultative selling desirable.
  • Experience of selling banking and / or regulated products would be an asset.
  • Knowledge of customer Acceptance rules.
  • Good knowledge of the Bank’s Personal and International Corporate sectors.
  • An awareness of those products and services offered by other parts of the Bank and/or Parent Companies.
  • Broad knowledge of Personal and Corporate Sector lending products for the Platinum market.
  • Knowledge of Platinum Banking policies, plans and strategies, and an awareness of the Bank / regional policies, plans and strategy, e.g. Anti-money laundering, fraud prevention.
  • Knowledge of insurance, taxation and asset protection, estate planning products and services, as it affects non-resident foreign nationals and expatriates.
  • Awareness of appropriate local legislation, to ensure compliance with the Bank’s regulatory requirements, including regulations relating to jobholders’ investment / financial advice responsibilities.
  • Knowledge of the Bank’s Risk Management principles and procedures to allow proposals to be sent to the Retail Credit team.
