Role Purpose
Coimisiún na Meán is seeking applications for Learning & Development, Executive OfficerReporting to the Learning & Development (L&D) Lead and collaborating closely with colleagues across the wider People & OD (POD) function, you will play a key role in delivering an effective and efficient L&D service to employees through the provision of high-quality administrative and operational support. You will play a key role in assisting our the POD team to successfully deliver on the wide range of goals and objectives contained within its first people Strategy, “Athru,” with particular focus on the strategic areas of Capability, Leadership & Change. This role presents a good opportunity to contribute to building a best-in-class L&D function through effective systems, technology and processes.
Key Responsibilities
  • Assisting in the provision of an effective L&D support service to meet the needs of employees at an individual, team and organisation-wide basis;
  • Supporting the L&D Lead in all required administration activities necessary to assess and decide upon individual and team applications for L&D funding;
  • Assisting in the operational and logistical activity required to ensure the effective design and delivery of all L&D activity, including engagement with vendors, communication to employees, etc;
  • Administering effective systems and mechanisms to enable fit-for-purpose analysis, evaluation and reporting of all L&D activity;
  • Acting as an effective administrator for the organisation's new e-learning platform, ensuring an impactful and easy-to-navigate user experience for all employees;
  • Supporting the effective delivery of a range of leadership development programmes, services and initiatives, in areas including coaching, mentoring, collaboration forums, bespoke training courses, etc;

Essential Criteria
  • (a) A minimum of 2 years of professional experience in a relevant role withinan HR/L&D team or function. 
OR
  • (b) A qualification at Level 6 or higher on the National Framework of Qualifications (or equivalent) in a relevant area, i.e. HR Management,Learning & Development, Organisational Psychology or Behaviour, along withat least 1 year of professional experience in a relevant role within an HR/L&Dteam or function.
  • Strong interpersonal & communication skills.
  • A track record of being highly efficient and results focused.
  • Excellent administrative skills with a keen attention to detail in all businessactivities.
  • Experience in effectively supporting the delivery of projects and programmes.
  • Excellent planning & organising skills.
  • Ability to multitask and work to deadlines.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team and on own initiative.
  • Have a high proficiency with MS Office applications.
Desirable Criteria
  • Experience acting as an administrator for an e-learning platform (LearningManagement System, Learning Experience Platform) in a workplace setting.
  • Experience working in a public/civil service environment.
  • Membership of the Chartered Institute of Personnel & Development and/orthe Learning & Development Institute.
Benefits, Package & Pay
  • This position is offered on a Permanent basis. 
  • Full time, 35 hrs per week
  • Annual Leave: 23 days per annum
  • The role will be a hybrid role combining home and office working. Our client's current hybrid policy is 2 days in the office.
