Main Purpose of Job:
We are currently recruiting for an experienced Group Marketing Manager to join Connolly Motor Group, within the Marketing team. This role will be based in Galway.
The successful candidate will be required to work as part of the Marketing team. To be responsible for developing and maintaining the Group’s marketing strategies both off and online as a group to meet agreed company objectives. To evaluate customer research, market conditions, competitor data and implement marketing plans as needed. To oversee all marketing staff and activities across all site locations. To manage marketing budgets to include all marketing activities, sponsorship requests and events. To ensure that the team delivers the highest standard of service and that every opportunity is taken to continuously improve working methods and standards.
Role Responsibilities:
Management
Responsibility for the overall marketing of company products and services to the right market
Develop an annual marketing plan in conjunction with the sales/service/parts department. This should detail the year’s activity to meet agreed company and manufacturers objectives
Manage and delegate budget limitations and requirements to marketing staff and General and Line managers
Manage the Marketing team to ensure the Group’s marketing objectives are met
Assist HR with employment relations, recruitment & selection and people agenda queries
Develop potential strategic partnership relationships for Group products
Oversee all marketing, advertising and promotional staff and activities
Manage all aspects of print production, receipt and distribution
Managing and booking of promotional marketing campaigns
Communication
Communicate with General and Line managers to develop and constantly monitor the marketing campaigns for that brand
Conduct market research in order to identify market requirements for current and future products
Achieve frequent, timely and coverage across all available media
Attendance and participation of management meetings as and when required
Produce and present marketing strategies to manufacturers as required
Maintain and develop the marketing function of the Company’s database and utilise the database with the aim of procuring and retaining both Sales and After sales customers
Work with Group ambassadors to ensure they are maximizing coverage for The Group
Managing budget for Sponsorship and communicating with local communities
Reporting
Develop an annual marketing plan in conjunction with the sales/service/parts department
Control budget management ensure delivery is within budget and in agreement with SMT
Management of all marketing activities deadlines and approval
Deliver quarterly update of budget across sites to SMT
Develop manufacturer marketing plans and submit plans under deadline as part of manufacturer standards
Demonstrate technical marketing skills and company product knowledge
Standards & Regulations
Ensure strict adherence to all data protection legislation using all customer and business data for the purpose for which it was intended
Liaise with Data Protection Executive (DPE) on gdpr queries or updates
Understand regulations relating to Marketing and the Motor Sector
Keep up to date with technologies, social media and other platforms relevant to the role with SMT approval
How to apply and create awareness of Legal and Ethical Issues in Marketing
Travel to Group events, across sites
Skills and Competencies:
A Marketing Degree is essential
5 Years Marketing experience is essential
Communicate effectively and drive execution of the marketing strategy
Ability to innovate and solve marketing problems creatively
Excellent Communication skills (Written, Oral, Listening)
Creative mindset, in line with current trends essential
Assertive, able to demonstrate confident negotiation and influencing skills
Possess strong skills within IT and Marketing systems
Leadership skills
Time Management skills
Ability to work in a team and on own initiative
Display a keen interest in Motor Vehicles
Interested in working in a fast-paced environment
Attention to detail
Continuous improvement mindset
Build strong interdepartmental relationships and pay close attention to other departments requirements. Present a consistently professional image to both internal and external customers, through attitude, behaviour and personal appearance
Full Driving License is essential
Ability to innovate and solve marketing problems creatively
A willingness to travel and work across all Group sites
