Eirdata are currently looking to recruit an experienced Mechanical Fitter to join our expanding team on a large multinational Cork Based site.
The candidate should have a proven track record in the pharma/Biotech Industry and will be responsible for mechanical maintenance and repairs of Mechanical/HVAC equipment in compliance with site GMP procedures and regulatory requirements. The scope of this role will include routine inspections, mechanical troubleshooting, scheduled maintenance, breakdown maintenance, LOTO, troubleshooting and reactive maintenance of all HVAC systems and associated equipment.
Duties include but are not limited to:
Carry out routine maintenance tasks on air handling units, extract fans and miscellaneous HVAC equipment.
Fan & motor replacements
Bearing replacement
Pulley & belt alignment
Belt tensioning
Laser alignment
Filter inspections and changeouts
Valve inspections, troubleshooting and replacement
Troubleshooting of HVAC Equipment issues
Troubleshooting of HVAC faults, temperature control issues, fan control issues.
Troubleshooting of Fume hoods, BSC’s ,etc
Management of smoke alarm isolations and re-instatements.
Assist in cleanroom validation testing & air balancing as required.
Daily checks on BMS HVAC alarms, and management of same.
Management of LOTO for HVAC & Utilities associated loops.
Education/Experience
National Craft Level 6 Trade Qualified as minimum
Working knowledge of common HVAC equipment
Experience in pumps, fans, motors, valves
LOTO experience
Knowledge of HVAC and Utility systems and the ability to interpret detailed HVAC schematics, P&IDs and layouts
Experience in working within a live manufacturing facility.
Experienced in HVAC/Utilities/M&E systems/Process Systems
Familiar with CMMS systems
Competency in Microsoft word, PPT, excel, etc
Excellent communication skills
Full driving license, own transport essential
