Careers at TCS: It means more.
TCS is a purpose-led transformation company, built on belief. We do not just help businesses to transform through technology. We support them in making a meaningful difference to the people and communities they serve - our clients include some of the biggest brands in the UK and worldwide. For you, it means more to make an impact that matters, through challenging projects which demand ambitious innovation and thought leadership.
  • Work closely with the range of teams within the business to bring products to life.

  • Shape the future of TCS.
The Role
As an RPA Business Analyst, you will elicit, analyse, validate, specify, verify, and manage the real needs of the project stakeholders, serving as the conduit through which requirements flow between the business and the RPA developers.
In this role, you’ll be involved at some level throughout the entire RPA life cycle. Upon establishment of the requirements baseline, the focus is shifted towards the management of the requirements set and verifying their satisfaction. This involvement includes developing requirements, scope management plans, timelines, and other important artifacts of the initiative to ensure they are in line with the business objectives.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Use your leadership skills, create a collaborative environment, and influence people to move toward a common goal.
  • Work with the product owner and/or subject matter expert to document the initiative’s business requirements.
  • Elicit requirements using interviews, document analysis, requirements workshops, storyboards, business process analysis, use cases or user stories, scenarios, event lists, task, and workflow analysis.
  • Write requirements specifications according to standard templates, using natural language simply, clearly, unambiguously, and concisely.
  • Decompose high-level business and user requirements into functional requirements, specified in an appropriate level of detail and in appropriate forms.
  • Track requirements status throughout the project.
  • Think on your feet, to go beyond planned questions and respond to whatever input you hear from the people you are interviewing.
  • Critically evaluate information gathered from multiple sources, analyse, and reconcile presented user requests from the underlying user needs, and distinguish solution ideas from requirements.
  • Use your creativity, propose requirements and solutions not yet presented.
  • Exhibit leadership capabilities like being proactive with tasks and respecting deadlines, enthusiastic about new concepts and solutions, accepting responsibilities.

Your Profile
Key Skills/Knowledge/Experiences:
  • A bachelor’s degree is required, with a degree in business, information systems or computer science preferred, although relevant experience may be substituted in lieu of a degree at management’s discretion.
