The Role
As a Big Data Developer, you will be responsible for overseeing the creation and maintenance of our database infrastructure, including collecting, and maintaining data, ensuring the integrity of our data, and creating and training data models.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design the architecture of big data platform.
  • Perform and oversee tasks such as writing scripts, calling APIs, web scraping, and writing SQL queries.
  • Design and implement data stores that support the scalable processing and storage of our high-frequency data.
  • Maintain the data pipeline.
  • Customise and oversee integration tools, warehouses, databases, and analytical systems.
  • Configure and provide availability for data-access tools used by all data scientists.

Your Profile 
Key Skills/Knowledge/Experience:   
  • In-depth engineering experience.
  • Experience in Apache Spark batch and streaming, SCALA, Apache/confluent Kafka, HDFS, Hive, Couchbase, UNIX scripting.
  • Exposure to MQ, NDM, Autosys/Airflow, Cloudera Hadoop 6.2, AWS/GCP native services.
  • Expertise in Snowflake, Hue, Cloudera manager.

Candidates should ideally hold appropriate right to works for Ireland for a long-term position.
