The Role
We are seeking a talented and experienced API Developer/ Integration Specialist to join our Data Integrations & Automation team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing API strategies to ensure that our applications and services are scalable, reliable, and secure. The candidate must have a solid understanding of API design principles and best practices. This is a crucial role in ensuring the smooth and efficient flow of data, enabling data-driven decision-making across the organization.
Key responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement API strategies that align with our business goals and objectives.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure that API implementations are consistent and meet our standards for performance, scalability, and security.  
  • Design and implement APIs.  
  • Develop and maintain API documentation and specifications.  
  • Identify and resolve technical issues related to API design and implementation.  
  • Ensure that APIs are integrated with our applications and services in a seamless manner.  
  • Monitor and optimise API performance and security.  
  • Stay up to date with the latest trends and developments in API design and implementation.

Your Profile
Key skills/knowledge/experience:
  • Solid understanding of API design principles and best practices.  
  • Experience with Apigee and Amazon API Gateway.  
  • Proficiency in Node.js, JavaScript, SQL, Angular, and RESTful APIs.  
  • Familiarity with GraphQL and Swagger.  
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with an ability to communicate effectively and confidently with users, team members, and management- along a wide spectrum of technical abilities.
Good to have:
  • Business Knowledge: An understanding of the Investments Industry
  • Experience with AWS services and Python.
