MUTEC, the Municipal and Utilities Truck Equipment Company, is an authorised Mercedes-Benz commercial vehicle dealership and aftersales service centre. We are a division of MDL (Motor Distributors Limited) which are the importers for Mercedes-Benz in Ireland. Our aftersales service focuses on the maintenance and repair of Mercedes-Benz Commercial Vehicles, Mercedes-Benz buses and coaches, Versalift Aerial Platform Lifts and also operates a CVRT Centre.
We currently wish to recruit a HGV (Heavy Goods Vehicle) Mechanic to join our service team based at Naas Road, Dublin 12 and also for our off site location in Ballycoolin. Duties will include all aspects of servicing and repairs of Mercedes-Benz commercial vehicles.

Key duties and responsibilities to include: - Carry out fault diagnosis, service, maintenance and repair on HGV’s and LGV's.
- Ensure all work is carried out to quality and specification requirements and documentation is completed accurately and in a timely manner.
- Provide updates to Workshop Foreman daily.
- Maintaining a clean and safe workplace.
- To undertake any other duties or activities as required.
The successful candidate will ideally:- Be a fully qualified Mechanic.
- Experience with Mercedes-Benz experience would be an advantage.
- Post qualification experience with a main dealer would be an advantage.
- Experience working on Truck, Bus and Van.
- Have experience with diagnostics and modern vehicle electronics.
- Have your own tools.
- Hold a full, valid and current driver’s licence.
- Display an ability to work to high standards.
- Be diligent, with a flexible approach to work.
- Possess strong organisational and planning skills.
- Work well under pressure.
- Be a good team player.
- Have good oral and written English.
