Graduate Programme 2024

Role: Engineering and IT      Duration: Two years

About us
Gas Networks Ireland operates Ireland’s €2.7bn, 14,664km national gas network, which is considered one of the safest and most modern gas networks in the world. Over 710,000 Irish homes and businesses trust Ireland’s gas network to provide versatile and convenient energy to meet their heating, cooking, manufacturing and transport needs.
The gas network is the cornerstone of Ireland’s energy system, securely supplying more than 30% of Ireland’s total energy, including 40% of all heating and almost 50% of the country’s electricity generation. By working to replace natural gas with renewable gases, such as biomethane and hydrogen, and complementing intermittent renewable electricity, Gas Networks Ireland is supporting Ireland’s journey to a cleaner energy future.
As the energy industry in Ireland continues to transform with renewable gases, applications are now open for a specialised Graduate Programme with Gas Networks Ireland, which will give participants a unique opportunity to become involved in this transformation.
The programme
As a participant on this programme, you will have the opportunity to benefit from rotations that will give you experience on some of the largest gas infrastructure projects in the country. On successful completion of the two-year programme, all participants will receive a formal certification of completion and a number of permanent positions will be available within Gas Networks Ireland.

On completion of this unique two-year programme you will have gained extensive experience and knowledge of each sector. Furthermore, you will have acquired a well-rounded perspective of a dynamic industry that will benefit your career. Regardless of which area you choose to specialise in, you will have a significant competitive advantage over your peers.
