QUALIFICATIONS
/ DESCRIPTION
Each candidate must on the latest date for receiving completed application forms for the office:-
Be registered in the Register of Medical Practitioners, maintained by the Medical Council of Ireland, in accordance with the Medical Practitioners Act 2007.
Have completed and passed FCAI or equivalent.
Have completed a minimum of 6 months in Paediatric Anaesthesiology in either Our Lady’s Children’s Hospital, Crumlin or Temple Street Children’s University Hospital.
Have adequate experience of ICU on-call in a tertiary teaching hospital in Ireland.
For a senior registrar role, candidates will be expected to demonstrate the ability to designate and supervise junior colleagues.
Appointees will be required to be actively enrolled in a professional competence scheme and to actively engage in continuing professional education and development in accordance with organisational / professional requirements.

Satisfactory registration with the Irish Medical Council (IMC) and the provision of your IMC Registration Certificate effective from 9th July 2018.

NCHDs who participate in Crash Call include those working in Adult and Paediatric Medicine, Adult and Paediatric Emergency Medicine, and Anaesthesia.
It is not permitted for you to be a member of the Crash Call team without a current certificate.
Satisfactory evidence of Hand Hygiene training.
Satisfactory evidence of Manual Handling training.
