: - An exciting vacancy is open for a talented and experienced commercial Sales Director for the Pnet and CareerJunction brands in South Africa. This role is based out of our Johannesburgh office with flexible hybrid working.
The Sales Director will be an integral part of the South Africa leadership team and will drive sales and growth across all revenue lines including Strategic Corporate accounts, SME and Recruitment Agencies. The Sales Director will be a role model for our company values. The successful commercial leader will have proven managerial experience and an outstanding track record in sales. The ability to lead and motivate a team with enthusiasm, while developing and cultivating relationships is essential. Our people make the difference and integrity is key.
Key accountabilities and decision ownership:
Develop the strategic direction of the overall sales function and implement a structure which is optimised to deliver the strategy
Ensure revenue and customer growth is maintained and developed in line with our strategy and budget
Align the organisation design of the sales function to suit the structure of the market, customers’ needs, and the geographical distribution of the market
Provides a vision and clear direction to inspire individuals and engage others to deliver excellence
Manage, motivate and coach Sales Leaders and the Sales Function to achieve sales targets consistently
Create a climate which encourages the generation of ideas for new business opportunities, for new and enhanced products and services and for other changes that would make the organisation more effective, efficient or profitable
Communicate, share, support others and build good working relationships – both external and internal that have a material effect on success
Skills, know-how and experience:
Must have:
A successful background of driving high performance sales teams in the South African market.
Strong commercial sales experience, 5 years + as opposed to pure sales
Act as the strategic thought partner helping shape the sales strategy
Experience growing & scaling a high performing sales team in a fast-paced environment
Ability to analyse data, extract and present information, market data and produce concise business documents and initiatives
Proven experience of managing managers/multiple teams
Leverage existing business relationships to help your team to influence decision makers, increase alignment, and accelerate engagement and drive revenue
Numerate and analytical. Comfortable operating within a KPI led organisation
Commitment to diversity and inclusion. Building a team with the highest ethical standards
A strong commercial awareness and strategic development skills
Forge strong internal relationships with key leaders and support organizations in a dynamic and growing environment to ensure the right people and connected at the right time.
A senior business leader, ability to inspire trust and confidence in their management teams
A detailed understanding of pricing and discount structures
Work collaboratively, lead cross functional teams to transform and streamline processes to drive improved sales productivity and velocity
