We currently have an excellent opportunity for a commercially minded Junior Commercial Analyst to join our Sales and Business Development team. Reporting directly to the CEO, this is a fantastic opportunity for the right candidate to take their next career step in a dynamic, fast-paced and challenging environment.

Working with internal and external clients, the Junior Commercial Analyst will support the Commercial team on cross-functional initiatives and projects. This is a key role with client-facing opportunities; the Junior Commercial Analyst will support the development and growth of commercial opportunities across the Company’s sales territories with a particular focus on the financial services sector. It is a role that will challenge you to collaborate, negotiate and persuade, while maintaining positive relationships with colleagues, internal partners, clients and third-party partners.

Key responsibilities include:
  • Assisting our commercial team in the management of global partnerships & integration projects.
  • Assisting in the coordination of cross-functional teams at due diligence & integration stage.
  • Performing financial analysis on an ad-hoc basis to support commercial initiatives & other projects.
  • Managing multiple projects, and consistently delivering results despite competing priorities.
  • Acting as the go-between for clients and in-house project teams.
  • Translating business requests into detailed functional specifications and use cases.
  • Working closely with the Product team to execute the Product Roadmap through the delivery of new features.
  • Identifying and managing changes to requirements and participating in the change management process.
  • Supporting various aspects of the business cycle as required including proposals, demonstrations, feasibility studies and implementations.
  • Providing timely and accurate updates to project leaders and clients.
  • Providing support and technical expertise to colleagues across the business.

  • Have an honours degree or a master’s degree in a Finance, Business, Economics or other relevant discipline
  • Strong analytical skills required, with the ability to collect and analyse significant amount of information with attention to details and accuracy.
  • Have prior experience working in business analytics or a related field, ideally within the financial services or professional services industry.
  • Be quick at prioritizing and responding to fluctuating, high-impact, urgent requests.
  • Have the ability to apply functional/technical knowledge.
  • Have the ability to demonstrate strong active listening skills.
  • Be proactive rather than reactive for possible issues or challenges, working through solutions and communicating the severity and path to resolution.
  • Have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Have the ability to work on own initiative and as part of a team.
  • Have strong attention to detail.
  • Have good MS Office (particularly Excel) skills and a sound knowledge of analytics and visualisation tools.
  • Have experience of requirement-gathering strategies and techniques.
