We are seeking an ambitious Accounts Assistant to join our Finance team. Reporting directly to the Finance Manager, the suitable candidate will be looking to kick-start their career working in a vibrant Finance department. This role will provide essential support across a range of Finance activities.

The ideal candidate will recognize how to balance getting the details right while still moving fast.

This role involves:
  • Assisting Accounts Receivable. This includes issuing and posting sales invoices, cash collection and providing prompt and courteous responses to issues raised by internal and external stakeholders
  • Supporting the Finance Manager in the delivery of timely and accurate monthly management accounts
  • Responsibility for VAT, VIES and other sales tax returns
  • Reconciliation and revaluation of multi-currency bank accounts
  • Treasury reporting
  • Balance sheet reconciliations
  • Maintenance of company credit cards
  • Assistance with employee expense scheme
  • Assisting with year-end audit preparation
  • Providing assistance to other key roles within the Finance team where required
Abilities & Skills:
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • The ability to work autonomously and manage one’s own time
  • The ability to work with sensitive information and maintain confidentiality at all times
  • Proficiency in all aspects of the Microsoft Office suite, particularly Excel
  • The ability to work accurately, plan effectively and adjust to changing priorities
  • The ability to absorb, understand and apply new information quickly
  • Effective interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work with a variety of individuals at different management levels.
Minimum Requirements:
  • Ideally 1+ years’ experience in a similar role
  • Will have commenced or has a strong interest in commencing a professional accounting qualification
  • VAT knowledge an advantage
  • Excellent organisational skills
  • The ability to adapt to a variety of tasks and work to tight deadlines
  • Excellent verbal and written English
