About the role
As a result of the continued growth of the firm and exciting plans for further expansion in Ireland, RSM Ireland are recruiting a Corporate Tax Director to join our diverse and progressive tax team. The role offers the opportunity to become a leader in the firm’s fast growing corporate tax business and a path to partnership.

We work with clients operating in a wide variety of sectors, particularly clients operating internationally across the following sectors; Technology, Media, Telecommunications, Life Sciences, Consumer and Manufacturing. You will work with our clients in these sectors, helping them with complex tax matters and ensuring excellent client service.

The Opportunity
The role will entail working with a diverse client portfolio, with a key focus being the provision of tax services to international companies helping them to deal with a wide range of Irish and international tax matters. The successful candidate should have a proven track record in managing client relationships, delivering solutions to clients on complex matters, building and supporting teams. The candidate should also be a strong business developer.
Responsibilities:
  • Ensuring the provision of value adding, technically sound, clear and concise tax advice covering a range of technical issues relevant to your client’s business risks, challenges and opportunities.
  • Managing a portfolio of complex corporate clients (predominantly internationally focussed businesses).
  • Work with partners on delivering advisory projects, including M&A, due-diligence, IP planning and reorganisation assignments.
  • Building and maintaining relationships with clients and providing a high standard of client service.
  • Delivering our service offerings to clients in developing international tax strategies.
  • Working closely with the partners and directors in tax and other service lines to go out to market and supporting the business development activities in the Irish market.
  • Coordinating and collaborating with other RSM member firms on cross-border projects and business development initiatives.
  • Contributing to the development of technical knowledge and training of staff.

About the ideal candidate
The ideal candidate will have the following skills and experience:
  • ITI and ACA / ACCA qualified.
  • Excellent experience in a management role in a tax practice.
  • Comprehensive corporate tax technical knowledge and experience.
  • Proven experience in client handling and managing a busy portfolio.
  • A proven track record in business development and converting relationships into fee paying work.
  • Self-motivated and capable of leading a team.
  • Team player with strong communication, interpersonal and leadership skills.
