Vhi Group Services are currently looking for a full time temporary (10 months) Agile Coach to lead, mentor and develop our team of Agility Coaches, accelerating us on our transformation journey from project to product and new ways of working.

You and your team will be responsible for shaping and driving the adoption of new ways of working practices and acting as a key ambassador for the change. You, with your team, will work with value stream and functional teams directly to identify and address their challenges, will champion the use of metrics and measure the success of the adoption of a product-led approach and coach colleagues to build an agile attitude focused on continuous improvement and customer and business value.

Key responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
  • Lead, mentor and develop a newly formed team of Agility Coaches, empowering them to drive and inspire change across the organisation
  • Constructively challenge, support and coach leadership to build an agile mindset and break down barriers that impede the progress of teams
  • Play an active role in building a guiding coalition and community for the new ways of working, to help to embed the change locally.
  • Champion and drive new ways of working approaches for Vhi throughout the organisation, acting as a role model and coach to individuals, teams and leadership on agile standard methodologies to drive the strategic vision
  • Adopt a scaling framework to drive consistent, streamlined alignment of agile ways of working across different strategic value streams
  • Own the agile methodology, design and delivery of the new ways of working across the organisation, ensuring consistency with industry standard methodologies and alignment across the organisation of any changes in method or approach
  • Provide practical contextual and tailored coaching guidance, both technical and non-technical, to help Vhi adopt and embed new ways of working aligned to the needs of the customer and business
  • Challenge existing processes and remove impediments to achieving improved agile adoption, demonstrating fast feedback cycles to validate the approach
  • Keep up to date with industry trends relating to Business Agility, Product and DevOps and maintain an involvement in industry agile communities to continuously bring new methods and ideas to the organisation.
  • Assist with establishing communities of practice and developing a culture of continuous improvement across teams.
  • Collaborate with the wider Tech Transformation team, and People and Culture teams to align on initiatives, and support in shaping new ways forwards.
  • Assess new ways of working health and maturity to monitor adoption and inform coaching and development approach

Skills and Abilities
  • 5+ years of proven experience applying Agile principals, such as Kanban, Scrum, SAFe, or other Agile/Lean frameworks in a product/project/program environment
  • 5+ years coaching experience with business and technical teams in project and operational environments.
  • Experience in an Agile leadership role for at least 3 years, operating in a scaled environment
  • Certification as either a Scrum Master (CSM), Agile Coach (CSC), PMI Agile Certified Practitioner (PMI-ACP), Disciplined Agile (DA) or ‎Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe)
  • Proficient in using collaboration tools, Jira, Confluence, Miro and Webex teams
  • Strong expertise and experience in Agile methodologies and practices
  • Ability to lead, inspire and motivate teams
  • Extensive experience coaching and mentoring individuals and groups and facilitating training and workshops at senior leadership level
  • Strong and effective communication skills
  • Demonstrated alignment with Vhi Values
