A fulltime permanent vacancy has arisen for the role of Senior Architect – Health & Wellbeing Enterprise. The successful candidate will provide vision, leadership, analysis and design expertise for the development, implementation, maintenance and governance of the IT architecture and solutions to support the needs of Vhi Health & Wellbeing DAC.
The primary role of the Enterprise Architect is to ensure that the respective business, application, data, and technology solutions are in line with the organisation’s vision, strategies, policies, and standards.

Key responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
  • Responsibility and Accountable for the Enterprise Architecture (Business, Application, Data, Technology) of Vhi H&W and its business units including Digital Health, Care@Home, Urgent Care, Specialist and Acute Services, Lifestyle Health, Integrative Medicine and Primary Care, QSR, Finance, Human Resources and other corporate and enabling services.
  • Delivering on a comprehensive technology and information strategy that is aligned with Vhi H&W’s overall business and digital transformation strategy, and Vhi Group technology and information strategy.
  • Developing, documenting and governing key enterprise architecture deliverables that include: Business Capability Matrix, Architecture Artefacts, Roadmaps, High and Low level Solution and Technical designs
  • Conduct gap analysis of the current to target state enterprise architecture and define roadmaps and plans to achieve the desired business vision
  • Interact with clinical/business/functional partners, 3rd party vendors, to highlight the right information, risks, and open issues and the impact on solutions and business objectives. Ensuring technology solutions will meet the required healthcare needs.
  • Lead and deliver architecture reviews and assessments to validate architecture and design, identify risk, assess quality/scalability/performance, and represent Health & Wellbeing DAC at the Architecture Review Board.
  • Direct and mentor the Health & Wellbeing Architecture team, leading the Health & Architecture Centre of Excellence, ensuring that best practice is developed and adopted by the team. Building a central team with the requisite skills and experience to deliver on the IT strategy for Vhi H&W.
  • Defines the target state ICT architecture for Health & Wellbeing DAC, including identification of dependency architecture shared across the Group.
  • Make recommendations for new technologies required to deliver on Health & Wellbeing DAC vision and ensures the best/most appropriate use of existing technologies.
  • In conjunction with the wider Group Services IT Enterprise Architecture team, agree, prioritise, and govern shared ICT architecture requirements and roadmaps.
  • Leverage technical expertise across the enterprise to architect, deploy and oversee new technical solutions required for Health & Wellbeing DAC. Ensuring defined standards are adhered to and that the appropriate governance is in place
The successful candidate must have:
  • 10+ years' related work experience in technology and IT delivery with experience in Healthcare IT, Clinical or Medical solutions highly desirable
  • Bachelor Degree in Information Technology, Management Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, or related disciple with an advanced degree preferred.
  • A successful track record in an Architectural or IT Leadership role with minimum five years at a senior management level and experience of delivering to strict target dates and/or service levels.
  • A proven record of technology transformation delivery with cross-disciplined knowledge of information, application, technology, and business architectures
  • Experience translating business goals and needs into solutions and services
  • Experience of design and development of digital health and healthcare IT applications and services.
  • Experience in Industry standard frameworks with good knowledge of enterprise architecture concepts through practical experience and exposure to industry models and frameworks e.g. TOGAF, COBIT, ITIL.
  • Cloud vendor certifications (such as AWS, Azure), experience of the latest enterprise architecture patterns such as event-driven, server less, SOA etc.
  • Excellent knowledge of Enterprise Architecture, IT Strategy, Healthcare Technology and Digital Health domains.
  • Proven track record of achievements, leadership and innovation.
