Internal Auditor - flexible location

A fantastic opportunity for the right candidate exists with the UK arm of John Sisk & Son limited.
The role is for the permanent role of Internal Auditor within the Commercial Assurance team, responsible for undertaking audits and analysing business reports and data to establish compliance with business requirements.
We are looking for a curious, inquisitive and enthusiastic individual, comfortable working both within a team and independently.
The role requires an excellent communicator who is proactive and organised, capable of undertaking multiple tasks to various deadlines.

Key Responsibilities
  • Take part in conducting internal audits
  • Establish compliance (laws, contracts, regulations, policies)
  • Analyse business data, evaluate information and systems
  • Assimilate large amounts of complex data
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of the audit process
  • Clearly communicate findings, orally and through written reports. Communicates key issues with supporting information
  • Assist in identifying Corruption and Integrity issues.
  • Establish investigation methodology (e.g. in instances of bribery and corruption and fraud)
Experience & Skills
  • Demonstrable project management skills and/or knowledge
  • A proactive self-starter
  • Results orientated
  • An ability to work independently
  • An ability to work on multiple tasks and maintain awareness of deadlines
  • An understanding of project planning, project management, phases of a construction project
  • Communicates upwards and downwards with equal clarity

  • Experience of understanding, digesting, explaining, analysing processes, policies and procedures
Training/Qualifications
Desirable
  • HNC / HND / BTEC or Degree (Construction related).

Training to be provided on commencement
  • Anti-Bribery and Corruption course (Bribery Act 2010)
  • Project Compliance training
  • Conflict of Interest training
  • Business Ethics training
