Drone Operator- Dublin
John Sisk & Son are now hiring a Drone Operator. The Drone operator is a new exciting role in our company. This role is part of the Digital Project Delivery team and will support projects in collecting and processing video footage, aerial photos, engineering data and progress reports.
You will:
Capture and process video footage and aerial photos for live projects and tenders as required.
Capture engineering and aerial survey data to be used by site team for cut and fill exercise, site setting out, quality checks and other activities.
Plan flight paths, produce maps based on flight data, test flight equipment.
Work with other professionals to interpret data when required.
Be responsible for implementation of companywide drone policy.
Upskill staff in processing drone captured data to enhance their day-to-day job
You will have the Capability to support the projects with technical enquiries when required.
Travel to various locations around the country to support construction and civils projects.
Identifying innovative ways that drones could be used to enhance project delivery process.
Ensure drone flights data are captured regularly and our procedures are fully aligned to relevant Civil Aviation Authority regulations or Irish Aviation Authority.
Support the business in using drones in national and international events.
Develop training and technical material/documentation for practical, commercial, and operational activities.
You will have:
A recognised qualification in construction, engineering or equivalent areas
Full understanding of Civil Aviation Authority regulations
Full understanding of Irish Aviation Authority regulations
Registered Pilot in IAA or CAA
Up to 60hrs registered flying a drone
up to date safe pass or CSCS card
up to date Manual Handling
Advance knowledge in AutoCAD and Revit
Desirable knowledge in Pix4D and Autodesk Infraworks and Civil 3D
Desirable knowledge in video/photo processing
Min 1-year of experience in building or Civils construction delivery
Existing drone piloting experience.
Professional experience of working in a client facing environment
Very good understanding of Health and Safety Risks and Hazards working in Live Construction Projects
Knowledge of media production and communication
Training and upskilling skills
Writing and reporting skills
attention to detail
basic computer or hand-held device skills
