Senior Engineer (Regional Role - based out of Dublin)
A key duty of the Regional Engineer will be to appoint TWC's the DI will delegate the duties of assessing and appointing competent TWC'S on the projects in their region to Regional Engineers (Reg Eng)
The Regional Engineer will support the Director in charge of Project/ Project Lead/Regional Director
Key Responsibilities
  • Provide Engineering support to projects at tender stage and construction stage
  • Attend settlement meetings ( to confirm engineering strategy for projects) when requested
  • Undertake construction reviews ( including tender stage reviews)
  • Supply chain construction reviews and TWs vetting
  • Carry out inspections and ensure compliance (to measure performance and improvement)
  • Carry out regular site visits, as when required
  • Attend site and undertake high risk reviews in advance of high risk activities to support the site engineering teams
  • Appoint TWC's in their BU/Region
  • Support and mentor TWC's and TWS's. Provide coaching in the role
  • Ensure a common level of competence of TWC's and TWS's and compliance with this procedure and forms across all projects in their Region
  • Standardised reporting form all BU's ( have a regular slot in BU management meetings)
  • Promote the Engineering Quality Promote Q10's
  • Communicate good practice, alerts and develop engineering networks across their BU/Region
  • Attend monthly temporary works forum
  • Communicate good practices and promote the engineering community across the BU/Regions
  • Develop engineering training plan for their BU/Region
