Due to the development of new and existing projects we are excited to be recruiting a 4D Engineer

Support the pre-construction and construction project teams to facilitate the delivery of 4D animations and images. This role will support tenders and live projects in the time linked visualisations that will support the coordination and strategy of the project execution plans, as well as providing targeted training to Sisk staff in the use of Syncro software to enable minor changes to be made independently by project teams. The role will also take the lead in managing the office visualisation suite (if applicable) at the office where they are based.

Key Responsibilities

▪ Support the planning team with validating and reviewing the project programme in a fully coordinated 4D environment.
▪ Lead the production of 4D animations in multiple formats that will inform project strategy or communicate the project strategy to clients and consultants.
▪ Provide hands-on training and workshops for regional staff and project teams if required.
▪ Manage and run visualisation suite (if applicable)
Role requirements
Pre-contract
▪ Review consultant’s 3D models at tender stage and report the status and quality of the 3D models for further activities
▪ Produce logistics and temporary works 3D model for technical reviews and project strategy
  • Produce temporary works 3D models to support engineering and operational teams
  • Assist planning team in developing 4D planning scope and 3D model requirements
  • Assist planning team to develop the 4D models to be used for programme validation and construction methodology assessments
  • Assist the project logistics team to optimise the construction logistics and traffic management
  • Assist project team with assembling and managing on site visualisation equipment
  • Produce monthly Synchro updates for progress reporting
  • Produce temporary works 3D models to support engineering and operational teams
Experience & Skills
Software knowledge required
▪ Synchro Pro: Sufficient knowledge in using synchro to be able to produce, import & edit 3D Models, linking with programme and associated activities to produce fully coordinated 4D Model
▪ 3D Studio Max or equivalent: Sufficient knowledge to be able to produce, import & edit 3D models, linking with programme and associated activities to produce fully coordinated 4D Model
▪ BIM Cave visualisation technology: Sufficient knowledge to be able to manage and run the BIM cave and any updates, improvements to keep up with the latest technology
▪ Autodesk Navisworks: Knowledge in use and manipulation of NWD files to be used for navigation and communication
▪ Autodesk Revit: Knowledge in use and manipulation of Revit files to be imported into Syncro or 3D Studio Max
Autodesk AutoCAD: good knowledge in producing, editing and publishing 2D and 3D data.
▪ CDE and Infield platforms: Knowledge of working in a CDE such as Viewpoint 4P and applications such as Autodesk 360, Viewpoint, etc.
Qualifications/Training
Required
  • Advanced knowledge of 4D modelling software
  • Competent understanding of multiple visualisation software platforms
  • Ability to run training classes and manage queries relating to software and processes

  • Self-motivated, ability to manage and prioritise own workload
  • Open to learning new software and procedures
  • Knowledge and experience in multidisciplinary project delivery
