The Data Product Consultant will work in partnership with client teams, data science and tech teams to bring data & analytics products and solutions to life. There will be the opportunity to work across a wide range of industry sectors in the dynamic ‘start-up’ environment of a new team.
The role…

Reporting to the Data Product Director, you will oversee data products and solutions throughout their lifecycle across the client and internal Ipsos teams. You’ll be the owner, expert, champion and energy behind your products taking them from conceptual idea to tangible reality.
This is a varied and energetic role including: 

Data Product Ownership
  • Building and co-creating data tools, solutions and services for clients optimizing their data and other data sources to solve their problems
  • End-to-end product ownership including ideation, product scoping, use case development, testing, demos, managing sprints, defining success metrics and supporting product adoption
  • Working collaboratively with teams including  clients-side and Ipsos business teams, tech and data teams and engineers, data scientists, data analysts, front-end developers, UX leads etc. developing strong working relationships
  • Overseeing cross-team activities including but not limited to:
    • Working with build and development teams to specifying functional acceptance criteria to ensure that the required business value is delivered
    • Support queries to guide the development team and ensure the solution is in line with the business expectations
    • Develop the user acceptance test (UAT) scenarios to support user testing of the data product functionality
    • Support change activities, including comms, and release approach.
  • Ensure quality and timely delivery of projects
  • Keeping the Data Product Director appraised of status and challenges

Building our Team
  • Helping to package, socialise and scale our offerings as we develop areas of speciality and ‘flagship products’
  • Keeping abreast of new data developments, trends and ideas in the external market
  • ‘Cross pollination’ of our data products, ideas and thinking within Ipsos.

What do I need to bring with me?

To be successful in this role you will need the following skills and experience:

  • Extensive experience of delivering data & analytics solutions, services or consulting
  • Experience in data and / or technology innovation through Agile methodologies in a dev-ops environment
  • Ability to translate technical requirements to non-technical customers and internal team members
  • Hands-on experience with data - modelling, analysis etc. Able to synthesise complex sources of information into clear concepts
  • Experience of solution delivery using Tableau or Microsoft Power BI
  • A strong business analysis skillset
  • Strong communication skills, verbal, written and technical documentation
