The Data Product Lead is a key role. A talented data translator, you will interface exceptionally with clients and all the teams and individuals it takes to make a data idea reality.
The role…
As a senior member of the team, your role is to bring the data team and practice to life! Think of us as a start-up within the wider Ipsos firm and you’re joining us at the early stages of planning and activating.

This is an interesting and varied role including: 

Owning the Data Product Portfolio
  • Building and co-creating data tools, solutions and services for clients optimizing their data and other data sources
  • Managing a portfolio of client Data Product projects guiding the technical development and business change activities and owning the Data Product demand roadmap
  • Working collaboratively with teams including clients-side and Ipsos business teams, tech and data teams and engineers, data scientists, data analysts, front-end developers, UX leads etc. developing and maintaining strong working relationships
  • Regularly reviewing status and delivery velocity and actively addressing challenges. Ensuring quality and timely delivery of projects

Leading the Data Product Team
  • Managing a team of ~3 Data Product Consultants providing leadership and supporting them on activities throughout the data projects lifecycle including: developing use cases and user stories, feasibility assessments (data availability, quality etc.), creating target datasets, iterative testing and user adoption
  • Coaching the Data Product team on data storytelling and translating statistical analysis into meaningful information for both data and business audiences

Helping establish the Data Team
  • Helping develop a ‘state-of-the-art’ client Data Product offering and operating model
  • Helping scale and sell our offerings as we develop areas of speciality and ‘flagship products’
  • Support in communicating and evangelising the Data Product work and offering internally within Ipsos
  • Identifying opportunities to expand our offer, client base and domain
  • Keeping abreast of new data developments, trends and ideas in the external market.

What do I need to bring with me?

To be successful in this role you will need the following skills and experience:
  • Significant and demonstrable experience in client facing roles delivering data & analytics solutions, services or consulting
  • Ability to translate technical requirements to non-technical customers and internal team members
  • Strong delivery track record through agile delivery methodologies
  • Good knowledge of commercial data sources used to guide business insight and commercial decisions
  • Experience of working alongside data science, development and technical teams in client engagements
  • Experience within online media industry (either publisher side, ad-tech or agency side)
  • Demonstrable experience of managing senior stakeholders 
  • Strong communication skills, verbal, written and technical documentation
