This role is crucial in the success of the Field department which is part of the Operations Division.  The Field department conduct surveys with a variety people at their homes about their interests, opinions and concerns on behalf our different clients including government bodies, the media, national companies and charities on a broad range of topics. .
The role…
The Analyst will be responsible for interpreting charts and tables and sharing the information and insight with colleagues in order that they can take timely decisions. They will identify problems early enough that corrective action may be taken by Project leads and Regional Field.  

What will I be doing?

This role reports to a Project Lead and will form part of a team of Project Analysts.
This role will be a varied and interesting, with considerable scope for the successful candidate to build strong relationships within the operations team and leadership to understand the requirements of the business and to drive effective decision-making
Responsibility for:
  • Ensuring the Head of F2F Data Optimisation and Technology understands requirements and gaps in existing tools.
  • Interpreting data in the form of charts, tables and dashboards
  • Identifying change opportunities for business improvement and client focus
  • Converting data, charts and tables into a narrative and providing  insight
  • Lead continuous improvement and identify new and enhanced ways of sharing data in collaboration with the Head of F2F Data Optimisation and Technology  and the Director, Delivery and Performance.
  • Contributing effectively to client relationships through supporting the project management and regional field teams to access and interpret their key data and insight

What do I need to bring with me?

To be successful in this role you will need the following skills and experience:
  • The ability to communicate effectively at different levels and for different users, adapting style and the level of detail and content according to need
  • Able to work in a team to develop deeper insights
  • Proficient in Excel and ideally in Power Query and Power BI, or other analytical tools
  • Has the right mindset to know when and how to conduct a deep-dive investigation into a set or sets of data to address a specific need or problem
  • Can think in a non-linear way and can process information in its context and ‘join up the dots’ when looking at data
  • Has a good level of intuition in determining which findings and facts can be disregarded, deprioritised, or which need further investigation in the context of a specific problem which needs solving
  • Understands the complexities involved in dealing with data in different states and from multiple sources, and able to overcome them creatively
