The role
The semiotics team sits centrally, working alongside the range of business units (Service Lines, including typical qualitative, quantitative teams).  You will be reporting to the Semiotics lead in the small and growing team.
The focus will be on helping to propose and deliver semiotics work in coordination with other business units. We are sometimes called upon to provide consultancy services to meet our client business questions.

What will I be doing?  

You will involved in the following:

Helping to organise the semiotics network within Ipsos :
These are individuals from different Service Lines who understand how to use and sell semiotics and sometimes to work on projects.   There is a need to ensure semiotics have people on each team which ‘hold’ semiotics – with whom we can share learnings, give updates, organise training, socialise case studies etc. 

Manage the resources teams needed to sell and deliver:
 You will be dealing with freelancer contracts, analyst briefing templates, proposal and reporting templates, case studies and providing R&D support. We work with teams to develop and sell Semiotics and as such you will be part of this process

Manage the proposal pipeline
We have a wide range of questions and proposals coming into the team – we need someone able to help manage and co-ordinate this process

Project support and Delivery: 
We have projects active across the organisation at any one time.  As such there is a range of support activities needed including: 
    • Collation of project materials (e.g. proposal and reporting templates, typical timings etc
    • Managing our working bank of approved semiotics freelance suppliers
    • Ensure follow-ups in place to help assess impact as input for case studies
    • Managing timings along project set up and delivery
    • Manage the day to day relationships with the client.
    • Assisting with the analysis and delivery of outputs

Marketing support
The team undertakes a wide range of marketing activities including client webinars, thought pieces, POV. We need support on all aspects to grow our market presence.
You will be involved in helping to tackle the client challenges themselves, 
You will work alongside other members of the  project teams, exposed to the ways in which we address the client challenges, involved in internal and client facing meetings

What do I need to bring with me?

 
  • Must have experience in Cultural Insights/ Semiotics
  • The attributes we are keen to see demonstrated are:

    • Great organisational skills: ability to be organised and manage process while being interested and contributing to the content of the work
    • Capacity to operate in a flexible and adaptable way given the competing demands of a fast paced commercial environment

  • A quick learner who enjoys breaking down complex topics and briefs into a tangible, actionable research approach
  • Client-facing experience and the ability to act as client liaison on projects is essential
  • Able to demonstrate capacity to arrive at Cultural Insights
  • Good project management, delegation and planning skills, good at multi-tasking
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word and PowerPoint
