The role…
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced researcher (Research Manager/Associate Director level) to contribute to Ipsos MORI’s new and innovative UK Knowledge Panel. This is the UK’s largest random probability online panel.
We are looking for an experienced quantitative researcher who is well versed in undertaking online surveys, to assist with the day-to-day operation of the panel. The role would suit somebody with strong project management skills who would also be interested in assisting with the marketing of the Knowledge Panel to external clients.

Your main responsibilities will include:
  • Review master questionnaire and sign-off for scripting (including quick review of questions/issues that might need addressing pre-script stage).
  • Review and approve the online script once it has been checked by the team.
  • Keep a general eye on progress / completes / download interim SPSS files from the portal and ensure that the script is working as intended (where possible).
  • Provide sign off for table specs  / advise on breaks as required.
  • Sign off completed data tables / SPSS datafiles and ensure weighting correctly applied.
  • Undertake some table checking if / as required depending on schedule / workload of the team.
  • Play a key role in panel recruitment, engagement, management of the incentive delivery and the overall health of the panel.
  • Be involved in strategic discussions about the panel's development and how it can be developed to meet our clients' needs.
  • Communicate clearly and regularly with clients (both internal and external) about progress and respond quickly to queries
  • Take part in weekly internal meetings.
  • Help provide costs if / as needed and update the costing log.
  • Check in with the delivery team periodically to ensure they are on track with delivery.
  • To be a port of call for queries from the team and clients (both internal and external clients).

What do I need to bring with me?
This role will suit candidates who enjoy working closely with internal clients, often delivering at a fast pace. We welcome interest from people with a strong quantitative and project management background.

We are looking for someone with:
  • Very good social research skills and ability to comfortably pick up projects and deliver day-to-day.
  • Strong quantitative skills and project management skills
  • Excellent attention to detail, organised, and solutions-focused.
  • Time management skills, working across multiple projects, prioritising tasks efficiently.
  • Ability to work to tight and demanding deadlines to deliver profitable work and assure quality of all outputs.
  • Experience in writing questionnaires and fieldwork materials.
  • Proficiency in Excel, and ideally in SPSS and/or other packages.
  • Ability to understand complex data.
  • Very good communication, client handling and supplier negotiation skills.
  • Proven ability to work well in teams.
  • Interest in working across and ability to pick up different policy areas.
