The role

 This role sits within the Social Intelligence and Analytics (SIA) Team at Ipsos. We bring our varied client base with consumer-centricity at scale. Simply put, we combine the best of AI and big data analytics with deep qualitative and human understanding to bring clients fresh, relevant and live insights from social and search data.
Social Intelligence Analytics is developing at breakneck speed, facilitated by both greater computing and analytics power and also richer understanding of human psychology when portrayed in social media conversations and search patterns. SIA is one of Ipsos’s top-4 priority areas to drive the future growth of the business.

What will I be doing?  

You will be an experienced researcher with social and search data. SIA spans both qualitative and quantitative techniques and while fluency in both is preferred, a particular strength in one or the other is fine.
Working in a growing team, you will have the opportunity to advise some of the world’s leading businesses. Financial services, consumer packaged goods, healthcare and government are particularly interesting sectors at the moment.  However, we see great benefits in being able to apply learnings from one sector to another, so expect to have a rich variety of clients with different challenges.
Projects will be mixed, including likely both ad hoc and continuous projects and will also span a mix of UK and international coverage, and topics of niche or mass interest.
You will support the team Director in the development and implementation of the team strategy, generating new business, writing client proposals, being a key member of speculative client meetings and pitches, plus you will drive the delivery of fantastic projects.
As a small team you will be involved in all aspects of the project life-cycle including set-up, query writing, analysis and reporting. The role will also enable you to take a lead in marketing our offer internally and more widely and to project your voice on what matters.
You will also work alongside other specialists in the Social Intelligence Team in the UK and internationally. Key will be to develop relationships with the global Social Intelligence team and also our in-house technology partner Synthesio to help shape the future development of our offer.
There are many opportunities to get involved in workstreams that suit your individual skills and interest, or which help to make Social Intelligence famous. As examples these could be around the trial of new innovative research techniques, marketing activity, speaking at conferences, best practice quality processes or staff welfare.
You will coach and develop the skills of junior members of the team, overseeing the quality of work of executives allocated to your programmes.

What do I need to bring with me?#
Expertise with social intelligence and/ or analytics and unstructured data
Expertise with technology and how it can be implemented to make sense of data
Confidence working with both open-ended, unstructured data (e.g. qualitative data) and numbers
A confident communicator and presenter, comfortable with clients and people at all levels across our business
A passionate champion for SIA!  You will drive engagement and excitement about internally and with client.
Ability to nurture client relationships, demonstrating a genuine interest in clients and their business issues.
Experience and confidence in designing, planning and facilitating research projects.
Self motivation and a role model who is easy to work with and has time for others.
