Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution is currently searching for a Postdoctoral Investigator to join the Biology Department. This is a temporary, full-time, exempt position, and is eligible for benefits


Applications are invited for one Postdoctoral Investigator position in coupled biological-physical modeling and ecological data analysis to join an active research team at Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution (WHOI). The successful candidate will contribute to the understanding of underlying mechanisms linking physical forcings with biological productivity and population dynamics. The position will be based at WHOI.

The position is full time and available for a period of one year initially, but renewable for up to three years depending on performance and funding availability. Applicants must have a PhD in oceanography. Preference will be given to an applicant who has strong quantitative skills with direct research experience in physical-biological coupled numerical modeling in aquatic systems and analyzing large modeling and observation data sets. A strong background in physical oceanography and/or biological oceanography is desirable. Application review begins immediately and will continue until the position is filled.
