What personal information is obtained?

Certain information will be mandatory in order to process your application. This may include:

1. Name, address, contact details
2. A copy of your CV
3. Work entitlement
4. What other languages you might speak
5. Whether you hold a driving licence
6. Whether you applied for Lidl previously
7. What your earliest start date is
8. Where you saw the position advertised

Application forms for certain positions e.g. for Customer Assistant, Warehouse Operative, etc. will also contain a situational judgement questionnaire which you will have to complete.  

Moreover you have the option to provide additional information voluntarily which you feel might be useful in considering your application. We would like to encourage you to provide comprehensive information in order to give yourself the best possible opportunity for selection.

Maintenance of Information

Your application and the personal information submitted with it are stored on a database which is maintained by Candidate Manager. Candidate Manager is bound to Data Protection legislation by contract. All personal information is deleted after 12 months.

Sharing of Information

Your personal information may be shared with other departments and business units within the company if required for alternative vacancies.

Your personal information may be stored in our talent pool for a maximum period of 12 months. All personal information is deleted after 12 months.

Information Security

Lidl hereby ensures that all personal information is not used for any other purposes other than the application process. Adequate technical security measures are taken to ensure the security of your personal information. After serving its purpose your application is deleted.

Your Rights

Under Data Protection legislation you have the right to find out what information is held about you. To obtain a copy of your personal information, please write to us at the following address:
