PUROSE OF THE ROLE

The Assistant Business Banking Officer may be responsible for a small portfolio of Business Banking customers. This includes responsibility for the sales and service of the Business Banking offering to Business Banking customers. Sells and delivers basic advice to customers around products and services. Provides contact (face to face, telephone and postal) with customers in order to satisfy their needs. Provides general and administrative support within the unit by processing paperwork and assisting in such activities as conducting credit reports, registering securities, following up, maintaining diaries, monitoring arrears, and responding to general inquiries. Also provides support to the Business Banking Officer in maintaining the lending portfolio.

OTHER GENERAL ACCOUNTABLILITES
  • Receives telephones call and deal with requests/issues as appropriate.
  • Assisting customers with matter of routines and clerical nature.
  • Assisting with review of new account documentation.
  • Prepares security & other documentation for customer’s signature ensuring correction execution.
  • Forwards documentation to be registered as applicable.
  • Conducts credit cards, obtain required information; prepare credit reports as necessary.
  • Provides excellent levels of service to Clients and Business Banking Officers.
  • Completes weekly reports with details of pre-booked meetings.
  • Identifies and pursues sales opportunities, particularly quality Business Banking with potential.
  • Sells and delivers both business and /or personal banking products as needed (refer to other parts of the Bank as necessary).
  • Generates sales or provide leads in order for team to meet agreed targets.

KNOWLEGE, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
  • Some knowledge of security documentation.
  • Good understanding of FirstCaribbean offerings in terms of sales and service model.
  • Knowledge of Retail and Commercial bank products, pricing, services and applicability to customer requirements.
  • Knowledge of the bank processes including product and service sales and delivery.
  •  Knowledge of our competitors’ products and services in order to convince the customer of the advantage of our products and services.
  • Team player.
  • Strong organizational and planning skills.
  • Good interpersonal skills to work effectively with customers and successfully handle complaints.
  • Ability to understand customer’s individual need and requirements and vary interpersonal approach to suit each situation.
